popular that there are a lot of poker rooms and
websites that offer Texas Holdem poker.
There are three types of Texas Holdem poker:
limit, no limit, and pot limit. With a limit
game, there will be a fixed betting structure
for each round. No limit is exactly the opposite
of limit. Pot limit is usually the best way to
play since the betting limit is always higher
than the blind but there is a fixed limit as to
how much players can bet.

In order to easily understand the game, here is
a rundown of a basic game play
1. Blind Bets
A blind system type of betting is used wherein
there is a big blind and a small blind. The
amount of the bet is predetermined by the
players. The small blind (given by the player to
the left of the dealer) is always the half of
the big blind (given by the player to left of
the player with small blind).
2. Deal
Each player is dealt 2 cards
3. First betting round
Each of the players starting from the big blind
will have the option to call, raise or fold. To
call means to match the bet. Fold means to give
the cards up.
4. The Flop
The dealer gives the first three community cards
face up on the table.
5. Second betting round
At this point, the player to the left of the
dealer is the first to decide whether to bet,
raise or fold. If the first player bets, the
remaining persons can only call, raise or fold
6. The Turn
The fourth community card is given by the dealer
face up on the table.
7. Third betting round
Another betting begins starting again form the
left of the dealer. Most of the time, the bet
has to be twice the amount of the bet in the
first two rounds.
8. The River
The final community card is dealt still face up
on the table.
9. Final betting round
The players again decide what action to take. If
only one of the remaining players decide not to
fold, he wins the pot.
10. Showdown
No matter how many players are left, each one
will have to put down their cards. The players
have the chance to make use of the community
cards with any of the following combinations:
player’s own two cards together with three
community cards, player’s single cards with
other four community cards. The person with the
best poker hand wins. In the event that two or
more players have the same poker hand, the pot
will be split equally.
